The Embassy of Romania, in partnership with the National Gallery of Art and the Romanian Cultural Institute in New York presents a series of 7 Romanian films under the title “Reinventing Realism — New Cinema from Romania”, between June 1 and June 16, 2019.
The screenings, accompanied by Q&A sessions with major stars of Romanian cinema, will take place at the National Gallery of Art – East Building Auditorium.
In three successive weekends at the beginning of June, the Romanian Film Festival in Washington, D.C., will offer a diversity of fresh cinematic endeavors, programming some of the best and most-awarded recent productions.
The festival will showcase a series of movies well-known by cinema lovers as being part of the so-called Romanian New Wave. May these movies bring us even closer during the next weeks of discoveries and fun, as only great art can do!
